Brand-new cycling App W3:RIDE partners with PROTOUCH AFRICA, rewarding cyclists around the globe for being active, converting pedal energy into real-life benefits and also supporting Africa’s top road cyclists

W3:Ride announced today its partnership with ProTouch Africa to take part in enabling more African road cyclists onto the World stage. W3:Ride connects cyclists globally through an innovative, fun and gamified experience while rewarding them for their efforts.Its new, web3-powered rewards programme converts every pedal on a bike into points, redeemable for digital gift cards, exclusive clothing, cycling gear and much more. Through this partnership, every cyclist joining W3:Ride and using the ProTouch Africa Referral Code (to find on all their social media accounts) will automatically be assisting to enable top performing road cyclists from Africa every time they pedal.

With ProTouch Africa having funded more than twenty-six athletes from six African nations since 2019, they fully understand the funding challenge that Athletes face. This is particularly true in Africa, where the majority of the Continents’ Federations do not have funding to support top performing athletes to participate [even as part of their National Teams] in international competitions.

The W3:Ride App tracks your activity through approved activity apps such as Apple Fitness, Google Fit, Garmin and Strava. After your ride, the W3:Ride app syncs and automatically rewards you for your weekend rides, commutes or daily exercises. In addition to outdoor rides, all activity from stationary rides from Zwift, Peloton and others to come, are tracked and rewards are added in $Power.

You can also earn rewards via Google Fitness which tracks rides from third-party apps that are integrated to Google Fit, or through your wearable device by selecting cycling as an activity. Apple Watch users track their cycling activity directly from the fitness app, or through additional third-party integrated apps and Garmin users, can automatically connect with the W3:Ride App and earn rewards too.
