Following Simbine’s success, his compatriot Zakithi Nene replicated the feat by winning gold in the Men’s 400m race. Nene’s exceptional performance, clocking in at 45.30 seconds, showcased his athleticism and sheer determination to clinch victory.

Nigerian hurdler Tobi Amusan soared over obstacles to claim gold in the Women’s 100m hurdles, recording a remarkable time of 12.52 seconds. Amusan’s flawless technique and agility propelled her to victory.
Ethiopian powerhouse Worknesh Mesele solidified her status as a force to be reckoned with by triumphing in the Women’s 800m race. Mesele’s indomitable spirit and impeccable timing propelled her to finish at 2:00.05, securing a gold medal.
