Their second clash against Australia witnessed another triumph for the Proteas, this time winning by 134 runs. De Kock’s exceptional performance with a score of 109 runs earned him the Man of the Match title, significantly contributing to South Africa’s campaign.
South Africa vs Netherlands
However, their third match against the Netherlands ended in a narrow defeat by 38 runs, despite David Miller’s notable contribution as the highest scorer for South Africa with 43 runs.

The Proteas made an emphatic statement in their fourth match against England, securing a commanding victory by 229 runs. Heinrich Klassen’s stellar performance, amassing 109 runs, earned him the Man of the Match accolade.
South Africa vs Bangladesh
In their fifth encounter against Bangladesh, De Kock’s exceptional performance of 174 runs led South Africa to another resounding victory by 149 runs, earning him yet another Man of the Match recognition.
South Africa vs Pakistan
The Proteas faced Pakistan in their sixth clash, narrowly clinching victory by one wicket with 16 balls remaining. Tabraiz Shamsi’s impressive four-wicket haul earned him the Man of the Match award, contributing significantly to their pursuit of glory.

However, their eighth clash against host nation India ended in a challenging defeat by a margin of 243 runs.

South Africa vs Australia (Semi-final)
Despite their formidable efforts, the Proteas faced disappointment in the semi-final against Australia, losing by three wickets with only 16 balls remaining.
