The upcoming week promises an exhilarating experience for sports enthusiasts, featuring a diverse array of sporting disciplines spread across different days. Among the highlights are the Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup, the Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup, SPAR Proteas vs England, Cape Town Sevens, Proteas vs India, and Women Proteas vs Bangladesh.

Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup

Running from December 5th to December 16th, the Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup will take centre stage as teams from around the globe converge for a chance at greatness. South Africa and Egypt will lead the African campaign, standing as the sole representatives from the continent.

Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup

The Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup is already in full swing, featuring South Africa and Zimbabwe as the only African representatives. Despite facing multiple defeats, both South Africa and Zimbabwe exhibited remarkable passion and determination throughout the matches.

SPAR Proteas vs England

Scheduled for December 5th and 9th, the South African Women’s netball team, known as the SPAR Proteas, is poised for an intense international netball series against England’s Vitality Roses. This highly anticipated showdown between these formidable teams promises an enthralling contest, expected to captivate both fans and players alike with its thrilling and competitive gameplay.

Cape Town Sevens

Taking place on December 9th and 10th, the City of Cape Town will hum with excitement as teams from across the globe assemble for non-stop Sevens action, each vying to assert their dominance on the field.

The South African Blitzboks celebrated an extraordinary feat, securing their fifth consecutive Dubai Sevens series title, adding to their impressive tally of 11 victories at that stop on the circuit. The win gives them strong momentum to take into their home leg of the tour in Cape Town where the side has been handed a favourable draw. The hosts will be desperate to go back-to-back and hoist a trophy in front of their fans.

Men’s Proteas vs India

The cricket calendar for the upcoming week features two distinct series that promise gripping encounters.

Firstly, the Proteas welcome India for a multi-format tour beginning with the T20 series beginning on December 10th in Durban. Three T20s will be followed by three ODIs before the tour heads into the Tests just after the turn of the year.

Women’s Proteas vs Bangladesh

On December 6th and 8th, the Women Proteas will take on Bangladesh for the second time in their T20 Series. The South African will be hoping to find some better form after Bangladesh won the first encounter by 13 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Still it is all to play for.
