Their remarkable triumph further fortified their legacy, boasting an impressive tally of 11 victories at this prestigious event. The win serves as a momentum booster as they gear up for their forthcoming home leg in Cape Town, fueled by the desire to claim back-to-back victories in front of their ardent supporters.

Women’s AFCON Qualifiers: 12 Teams Emerge Victorious

The curtains drew to a close for the Women’s AFCON qualifiers, on the fourth of December, revealing the twelve teams set to grace next year’s edition. South Africa, Morocco, Nigeria, Ghana, Botswana, DR Congo, Tunisia, Senegal, Zambia, Tanzania, Mali, and Algeria secured their coveted spots in this highly anticipated tournament.

A defining moment surfaced when South Africa’s Janine Van Wyk etched her name in history, breaking the record for the most national caps in African football, reaching 185 Caps.
