13th African Games ignite an epic week of sport

The upcoming week promises nothing but pure excitement for sports enthusiasts, featuring the 13th edition of the African Games, Basketball Africa League (BAL) 2024, and the Abu Dhabi Triathlon. Expect high intensity across this epic week of African sporting action.

13th African Games

The 13th edition of the African Games will kick off on March 8th and conclude on March 23rd in Accra, Ghana. Athletes from across the continent will gather to participate in a diverse range of events, including major disciplines such as Athletics, Hockey, Tennis, football, and more.

Notably, Badminton will kick off on March 7th, while Table Tennis began on March 4th as part of the African Games schedule.

Basketball Africa League 2024

The 2024 Basketball Africa League (BAL) will tip off on March 9th and extend until June 1st. Twelve basketball teams representing various regions of Africa will compete for the prestigious title.

Scheduled matches in the coming week include:

• March 9th: Clube Atlético Petroleos de Luanda vs Fath Union Sports de Rabat, and Cape Town Tigers vs Dynamo Basketball Club.

• March 10th: Dynamo Basketball Club vs Fath Union Sports de Rabat, and Clube Atlético Petroleos de Luanda vs Cape Town Tigers.

2024 World Triathlon Championships Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Triathlon

The Abu Dhabi Triathlon, part of the 2024 World Triathlon Championships, will take place on March 8th and 9th. Athletes from around the globe will converge in Abu Dhabi to compete for top honours in various categories:

• Friday, March 8th: Elite Para World Cup, WTS Elite Men’s and Women’s Sprint Triathlon, Community Runs.

• Saturday, March 9th: Age Group and Junior Triathlon Races, WTS Elite Mixed Relay, Community Cycles.
