An exhilarating week of sports draws to a close, punctuated by remarkable moments across various competitions including the Basketball Africa League, the African Games, and more.

The BAL showcased riveting matches and electrifying moments, captivating audiences with its intensity. However, Dynamo BBC’s expulsion from the competition due to non-compliance with BAL’s jersey regulations marked a notable incident.

Petro de Luanda and FUS de Rabat ignited the conference with a spirited clash on March 9th, with FUS de Rabat emerging victorious at 82-73. The momentum continued as the Cape Town Tigers faced off against Petro De Luanda on March 10th, with Petro de Luanda prevailing in a 100-88 triumph.

On March 12th, FUS de Rabat asserted their dominance against the Cape Town Tigers, securing a resounding 84-58 victory on home soil. The stakes rose higher on March 14th as FUS de Rabat clashed with Petro de Luanda once more, resulting in a thrilling 89-86 win for Petro de Luanda in a nail-biting encounter.

With two pivotal games remaining, the conference champion remains undecided, as Petro de Luanda takes on the Cape Town Tigers on March 16th, followed by the Cape Town Tigers’ clash with FUS de Rabat on March 17th.

The African Games set the continent ablaze since its inception on March 8th, as athletes vie for the coveted title of African Champions. Presently, Egypt leads the medal tally with 128 medals, followed closely by Algeria with 86 medals and South Africa with 78 medals.

The Citi World Series

The Citi World Series roared back to life on March 14th in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy, as athletes from around the globe converged to compete for elite status and podium glory.
