Leading the charge is Al Ahly from Cairo, Egypt, fresh off their victory in the 2023 Basketball Africa League season. Known for their dynamic prowess and electrifying performances in the Egypt Basketball Super League, Al Ahly aims to make a resounding statement and defend their title.
Joining them is Al Ahly Ly, representing the basketball excellence of Libya. With a string of championships, including recent victories, Al Ahly Ly, also known as Al-Ahly Benghazi, brings a wealth of experience and a hunger for success to the conference.
Adding to the excitement is Bangui SC from the Central African Republic, making history as the first team from their country to compete in the Basketball Africa League. With back-to-back championships in their local league, Bangui SC arrives with momentum and a determination to leave their mark on the continental stage.
Rounding out the lineup is City Oilers from Uganda, boasting a record-breaking number of championships in the Ugandan National Basketball League (nine). Hailing from Lugogo, Kampala, City Oilers are eager to extend their success and vie for glory in the Basketball Africa League.
